I lost so much of the independence and confidence I had always taken for granted, but Alfie never gave up on me. ❤️ When I could no longer drive, he became my therapy, my confidante and my reason to keep going. He was there through the darkest days, helping me rebuild my confidence one wobbly step at a time. When I was finally ready to return to competition, Alfie helped me learn how to do everything differently. He adapted to my disability with incredible sensitivity, gave me the confidence to trust myself again and helped me discover that perhaps life wasn't over after all — it was simply going to look different. Together, we returned to competition and went on to represent Great Britain at two World Championships, winning two World Championship bronze medals. 🇬🇧🥉 At 25 years young, Alfie was still competing at the very highest level and showing the world exactly what a veteran horse can achieve. But his greatest achievement, to me, isn't a medal. It’s giving me my life back. ❤️ After 14 incredible years together, Alfie is so much more than my competition pony. He is my partner, my best friend and the reason I have achieved things I once thought were no longer possible. He’s a Welsh Cob with a HUGE personality, an even bigger heart and a truly extraordinary story.
